Since 1990, the Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives has implemented 11 projects individually or in a partnership. Out of these 11 projects, 7 were implemented in Poland and 4 beyond our eastern border. The main area of FISE activities was Ukraine, but we also share our experience with partners in Kosovo and Byelorussia.
An important part of our activity were also
study visits and practical training. They were dedicated to
specialists, members of local governments, employees of
administration and non-governmental organizations. During such
visits, our guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with
selected examples illustrating Polish methods of resolving
different problems. The guests could discuss the questions
interesting for them with representatives of central and local
administration, non-governmental organizations and business.
Besides, since 1995, the Foundation for Social and Economic
Initiatives has developed a dozen or so
Development Strategies for Polish communes and towns,
including: Jarocin, Maków Mazowiecki, Darłowo and others. The
documents prepared by us provided the frameworks for planning the
actions aiming at durable and sustained development.
